Teachers and educators can Earn Professional Development Points

Join award winning author, poet, podcaster, Josh Donellan for a lively professional development session designed to spark curiosity and creativity in your classroom.

Explore practical strategies to help students generate ideas, overcome creative blocks, and build confidence in their creative abilities—whether they believe they’re creative or not. Drawing on lessons from writing, comedy, dance, music, and visual art, Josh will share engaging techniques such as the ‘Brick Challenge’ and the ‘Art of Noticing’. Expect laughter and new perspectives as we rethink how to nurture creativity alongside analysis in student learning.

Whitsunday Voices have partnered with Larrikin House to bring classroom resources to you. Educators can browse before and after the LitChat Educators Event, now conveniently located in the STEAM centre adjacent to the Festival Bookshop.

Teachers, librarians and parents all welcome.

Tickets: $40 bookings essential (includes refreshments)
