[Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival]

The Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival is the largest youth literature festival north of the sunshine coast, and a signature event on the Mackay educational calendar.

ABOUT THE
FESTIVAL

The Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival provides a unique opportunity for students and educators in and around Mackay, to meet and learn from some of Australia’s most acclaimed children and young adult authors, presenters and performers.

Whitsunday Voices attracts participants from as far south as Rockhampton, west to Kilcummin Creek and north from Bowen. Its reach extends to over 65 schools, and approximately 5,000 students, educators and parents attend the Festival each year.

Held in Mackay (Queensland) in July each year, the Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival provides students and residents in Mackay and surrounding area, the opportunity to participate in a fun-based educational and cultural event not normally available in a regional centre.

We encourage you to be a part of this very special Festival, and enjoy the experience!
